Be slow to anger :
A hot-tempered man stirs up dissension, but a patient man calms a quarrel. (Proverbs 15:18)
Better a patient man than a warrior, a man who controls his temper than one who takes a city. (Proverbs 16:32)
A man's wisdom gives him patience; it is to his glory to overlook an offense. (Proverbs 19:11)
Since an overseer is entrusted with God's work, he must be blameless--not overbearing, not quick-tempered, not given to drunkenness, not violent, not pursuing dishonest gain. (Titus 1:7)
My dear brothers, take note of this: Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to become angry. (James 1:19)

Anger forbidden
But I tell you that anyone who is angry with his brother will be subject to judgment. (Matthew 5:22)
Do not take revenge, my friends, but leave room for God's wrath, for it is written: "It is mine to avenge; I will repay," says the Lord. (Romans 12:19)
But now you must rid yourselves of all such things as these: anger, rage, malice, slander, and filthy language from your lips. (Colossians 3:8)

- Anger leads to sin and strife
An angry man stirs up dissension, and a hot-tempered one commits many sins. (Proverbs 29:22)

- Anger brings its own punishment
Resentment kills a fool, and envy slays the simple. (Job 5:2)
